Philana Imade Omorotionmwan
(o-more-o-tune-wha) was born and raised in Baton Rouge by a Louisiana Creole mother and a Nigerian father. She writes about the longing to belong, often by considering the intersections of race and gender. She currently makes her home in New Orleans with her rescue dog Velvet Hope.
